During the call, Foreign Minister Araghchi detailed crimes committed by the U.S. and Israel, specifically highlighting attacks on hospitals, schools, infrastructure, and residential areas.
He emphasized the responsibility of all governments to condemn these acts and reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s firm determination to defend its territorial integrity and national sovereignty with all its capabilities.
Araghchi strongly criticized the "dual and hypocritical approach" of some European countries and senior EU officials regarding the aggression.
He asserted that any form of support or acquiescence to the flagrant lawbreaking by the two regimes would constitute complicity in their crimes against the Iranian nation.
The Iranian Foreign Minister linked the current volatile situation in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz directly to the "war imposed by America on Iran." He issued a stern warning about the dangerous consequences of U.S. machinations aimed at dragging other countries into its "criminal war" against Iran.
"The disruption of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is a direct result of the war imposed by the U.S. and the Zionist regime," Araghchi stated. He urged the EU and European nations, if they are genuinely concerned about peace and security in the region, to abandon "irresponsible positions" and instead pressure the aggressors to halt their military campaign against Iran.
On her part, Kaja Kallas expressed deep concern over the security, humanitarian, and economic repercussions of the conflict. She reiterated the European Union’s official position, emphasizing the necessity of an immediate cessation of hostilities.
